Stop Making Resolutions That Fail: Build Unshakeable Faith in 2026

Hey guys! Welcome back. So, December is absolutely flying by eh?- can you believe we’re less than two weeks from the new year? Geesh, where did this year go???

Anyway, today I want to do something a little different. We’re going to talk about preparing for 2026, I have something to show you that I’ve been working on – and a funny story about why entrepreneurship is never quite as smooth as we hope – and then we’ll talk about what it means to step into the new year with unshakeable faith instead of just another resolution list.

Sound good?

Alright, NOW let’s dive in.

SEGMENT 1: WHAT GOD’S TEACHING ME

So as we’re heading into the last couple weeks of the year, I’ve been thinking a lot about preparation.

Not the kind of preparation where you’re frantically trying to get everything done before December 31st. Not the “new year, new me” panic mode.

But the kind of preparation that’s actually about your heart. Your foundation. What you’re building on.

There’s this passage in Isaiah 40:31 that says: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

And I love that it says “those who hope in the Lord will RENEW their strength.”

Not “manufacture” their strength. Not “willpower” their strength. Not “try harder and push through.”

But Renew.

And here’s the thing about that word – renew.

To renew something means it already existed. You’re not creating it from scratch. You’re restoring it. Refreshing it. Going back to the source.

So when we’re preparing for a new year, the question isn’t “How do I manufacture more willpower? How do I force myself to be better?”

The question is: “How do I renew my strength by going back to the source? By waiting on the Lord? By rooting myself in Him?”

Because here’s what happens when we try to do it on our own: We burn out. We fail. We make resolutions in January and they’re gone by February.

But when we renew our strength in Him? When we build on the rock instead of the sand? That’s what lasts.

So as we head into 2026, that’s my prayer for us. Not that we would try harder. But that we will renew our strength. That we will wait on the Lord. That we will build unshakeable faith that holds strong even when everything else is falling apart.

SEGMENT 2: THE “OOPS” PRODUCT REVEAL

Okay, so I have to tell you guys about something that happened this week. And it’s kinda funny but a little frustrating.

So these arrived in the mail. When the box came in I grabbed it and quickly opened it!

I was SO excited.

I’ve been working on creating these products – a health and wellness tracker and the Unshakeable 21-Day Journey workbook which are both downloadable – but I ordered printed copies so I could show them to you…

And look at these covers! They’re gorgeous, right? I was so happy.

→ NOTE: You can see the books in the video

And then I opened them….

Blank pages. Every single page. Just… nothing.

Apparently there was a printing error. The covers printed perfectly. The inside? Not so much…

Completely blank.

So here I am, ready to show you these amazing products on camera, and instead I’m showing you beautiful blank notebooks.

But you know what? This is actually a perfect example of what I want to talk about today.

Because entrepreneurship – building something, creating something, stepping out in faith – is MESSY. It doesn’t go perfectly. There are setbacks. There are mistakes. There are moments where you’re like, “Really, God? Really?”

And the same is true for our faith journeys. For our health journeys. For our personal growth.

We want it to be smooth. We want it to be Instagram-perfect. We want to have it all figured out before we start.

But that’s not how it works.

So yes, the books aren’t ready yet. The corrected versions are being reprinted and will be here soon. But I wanted to show you what I’ve been working on anyway. Because this is real life and this is part of the journey!

So let me tell you about what’s SUPPOSED to be inside these books

First: The Fitness & Health Tracker Journal.

This is a practical tool to help you track your physical health journey throughout the year. It’s got:

  • Space to flesh out 3 separate health goals
  • A section to list your vitamins, supplements, and prescriptions
  • Room to note specific health issues or concerns you want to address
  • Weight and measurement tracking if that’s helpful for you
  • 52 weeks of daily fitness and meal tracking
  • Weekly reflection prompts to help you see patterns and progress

Now, this tracker does have some spiritual touch points – there’s a daily prayer time checkbox and space for Scripture of the day – but it’s primarily a practical health tool.

The spiritual depth? That comes from PAIRING it with the 21-Day Journey or reading through the Bible in a year.

Because here’s what I’ve learned: My weight struggle isn’t just about food. It’s emotional. It’s spiritual.

So when I use this tracker alongside my spiritual practices – when I’m doing the Unshakeable 21-Day Journey AND tracking my health, or reading Scripture daily AND paying attention to my body – that’s when I start to see the connections.

This tracker helps you see patterns. It gives you the data. But the transformation happens when you bring that data to God and ask Him, “What are You trying to teach me about my body, my health, my relationship with food?”

So if you’re someone who wants to take your health seriously in 2026 – and you want a tool to help you track progress, see patterns, and stay consistent – this is for you.

Pair it with the spiritual work we’re doing in the Unshakeable 21-Day Journey or the Bible reading, and you’ve got a holistic approach to becoming who God created you to be.

Second: The Unshakeable 21-Day Journey Workbook.

This is the companion to the free email journey I’m launching January 1st. It’s got reflection questions, action steps, Scripture focus, and space to process what God’s teaching you through the 21 days.

It’s designed to help you address the spiritual roots of your struggles – not just the surface stuff.

So even though I don’t have the finished products to show you today, they’re coming. And I’m excited about them. Because they’re tools to help us build unshakeable faith in practical, everyday ways.

And honestly? The fact that they showed up blank is kind of perfect. Because it reminds me: We’re all a work in progress. We’re all being filled in. We’re all under construction.

And that’s okay.

SEGMENT 3: LET’S TALK ABOUT… BECOMING VS. ACHIEVING IN 2026

Alright, so let’s talk about 2026.

Here’s what’s happening right now, all around us: Everyone’s making resolutions. New year, new me. Lose 20 pounds. Read the Bible in a year. Get organized. Be better.

And listen, I’m not against goals. I’m not against wanting to grow. But here’s the problem with most New Year’s resolutions:

They’re about ACHIEVING, not BECOMING.

What do I mean by that?

Achieving is about:

  • Hitting a number on the scale
  • Checking off a list
  • Completing a challenge
  • Proving you’re disciplined enough

Becoming is about:

  • Who you’re growing into
  • What God is doing IN you
  • The person you’re transforming into through grace

And here’s the difference: Achievement is external while becoming is internal.

Achievement is about what you DO while becoming is about who you ARE.

Achievement is about willpower while becoming is about surrender.

So when I think about 2026, I’m not asking, “What do I want to achieve?” I’m asking, “Who do I want to BECOME?”

Do I want to become a woman with unshakeable faith? Yes.

Do I want to become someone who’s rooted in God’s Word? Yes.

Do I want to become someone who extends grace to herself and others? Yes.

Do I want to become someone who lives with clarity instead of cultural confusion? Yes.

And here’s the beautiful thing about BECOMING: It doesn’t require perfection. It just requires showing up. Day by day. Choice by choice. Surrender by surrender.

2 Corinthians 3:18 says: “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

Being transformed. Present tense. Ongoing process. Not “arrived.” Not “perfect.” Not “finished.”

Being transformed.

So what if 2026 wasn’t about another resolution list?

What if it was about transformation? About becoming? About letting God do the work in you instead of trying to do it all yourself?

Here’s what that looks like practically:

Instead of: “I’m going to lose 30 pounds by March.” Try: “I’m going to honor my body and let God heal my relationship with food.”

Instead of: “I’m going to read the Bible every single day without missing.” Try: “I’m going to seek God’s Word and let it transform how I think.”

Instead of: “I’m going to be a better Christian.” Try: “I’m going to surrender to God’s work in me and trust the process.”

Do you see the difference? One is about performance. The other is about transformation.

One is about proving. The other is about becoming.

And this is what I’m building in 2026. This is what I’m inviting you into.

Not another achievement-based challenge. But a grace-filled journey of becoming who God created us to be.

Like I said, all of the links are in the description below. Don’t overthink it – just pick one thing and start!

Alright guys, let me bring this home.

As we head into the last couple weeks of 2025, I want to encourage you: Don’t rush into January with another resolution list that’s going to fail by February.

Instead, ask yourself: Who do I want to BECOME in 2026? What does it look like to build unshakeable faith? What does transformation – not achievement – look like for me?

And then show up. Day by day. With grace, not guilt. With surrender, not willpower.

If this resonated with you today, I’d love it if you’d give it a thumbs up and subscribe so you don’t miss what’s coming. And drop a comment – what’s one thing you want to focus on becoming in 2026? I read every single comment.

Next week – December 23rd – we’re talking about what Christmas is really about. Not the sanitized version, but what it actually means for you and me. and while the message is one you don’t want to miss…I was playing with the editor so the episode might be a tiny bit cheesy haha but I wanted to embrace the holidays! It’s a must see!

Talk to you soon!
